How to Make a Candle Holder and Wax Catcher

1. Push the end of the candle into the opening of the straw. Our straws measured 7/8 inches around, and the candles were roughly the same size. As I pressed the candle into the end, part of the wax on the spiral came off, making it fit perfectly into the opening. If your candles are significantly larger, you’ll have to shave down the ends a bit.

2. Using a craft knife, cut a small “X” in the bottom center of the cupcake liner.

3. Slip the liner over the candle by pressing it into the “X” you just created. Slide the liner down the straw to the desired height. Tape the inside of the liner to the straw if you need more stability.

4. Repeat with the other candles, straws, and cupcake liners. Try trimming the liners into cute shapes, like flowers or stars. Mix it up and have fun. You can make a candle holder for any occasion!
