BOB THE BUILDER PARTY GAMES AND ACTIVITIES
1. Greet the kids with a construction hat and shirt logo. Birthdaydirect has these, and everything else you need for this fun party. Kids will feel welcome when they have something that all the other kids are wearing.
2. Constrution and building are the mainstay of this party. Have a building area. If you have lots of space,(a rec.center or gym) get a bunch of cardboard boxes and duct tape. Make cone shapes from poster board.
Let the boys use their imagination and build whatever they want. For a smaller space, have legos and smaller building blocks. If all the extra room you can muster is a table, get toothpicks and clay.
3. Put a tiny bit of clay on each end of a toothpick. Attach in a triangle. Make several of these and connect them. See how high or long your shape can become. You can construct some awesome structures with these simple supplies. This is a simple party planning idea.
If the kids are old enough, team them up and have a “Master Builder” competition. All the kids get stickers for their great jobs. Bob the Builder encourages creativity and so should you. Remember, the younger they are, the less structure is needed.
4. For kids who would rather color, or finish quickly, order a couple of Bob the Builder coloring books from Birthdaydirect.
FRONT LOADER RACE
Have 2 teams- one box for each. Have a pile of balloons at the finish line. Each boy takes a turn running from the start with the empty box to the balloon pile. Fill the box with as many balloons they can. Then run back to finish line. Repeat this until each team is finished. Team with the most balloons at the finish line wins.
FUN PARTY FOODS
JELLO JIGGLERS- Always fun and kids love them! For extra fun, slip a gummy fish in blue colored Jello Jigglers before it sets.
FUN SANDWICHES- Use simple shaped cookie cutters (circles and rectangles would work great) to make cute little finger sandwiches.Check out all the shapes you can get at Birthdaydirect.com! Kids are so excited at birthday parties. Don’t expect them to eat a 3 course meal.
KIDS LOVE to eat swirl sandwiches made with a flat tortilla. Spread cream cheese and add a slice of meat, roll it up and slice it into bite size yummy finger food!
CAKE- Practice making a cake long before the party so you can see what you will be getting into.
The easiest way to cut a cake is with dental floss or a fishing line. Knives cutting through icing and cake get very messy.
If you want to forget a cake, go with easy cupcakes with fun little rings or picks that match your Bob the Builder party theme. Birthdaydirect has a really neat cupcake holder too. You need to check it out!
REMEMBER- When kids are excited they don’t eat much. Have simple fun foods. Also, we all know that sugar will get all kids MORE hyper. Unless your birthday party is in a gymnasium, or a playground, think about the foods you will be serving!
Also, this party should be FUN! Don’t make a huge ordeal over this menu. You are not putting on a wedding, it’s your kids birthday party. FUN is the key word here!
BOB THE BUILDER PARTY DECORATIONS
Can we fix it? Yes we can! Did you know Birthdaydirect.com has a matching set of streamers, balloons and curling ribbon for the Bob the Builder pattern to decorate the whole birthday party room?
It’s fun and easy to order from their cool “Rainbow of Colors” their own creative department has already picked for your party pattern. That’s something else you don’t have to worry about.
Use lots of butterscotch yellow streamers as caution ribbons. Extra balloons always are an inexpensive fun way to decorate. At the end of the party, hand out the balloons as a last “Thanks for coming” gift.
If you live in a small apartment think about renting a local recreation center. It’s inexpensive and you won’t have to worry about your house, or furniture at all. Remember, birthdays are fun!

You could hire a birthday party planner to put together all your kid’s parties… But it really is not that hard to do it yourself.
There are so many ways of having a fun birthday party full of great memories without spending alot of money . FUN is the key word. You know your child and what he/she likes.
Let them be the major planner. It is THEIR party. Of course setting ground rules is important. But let them choose the pattern. Birthdaydirect has so many of kids favorite characters and theme party ideas.
Shop with your child and let them show you their favorite characters. Let your child pick their favorite friends to come to the party. Even let them help with what kind of food should be served. They will remember the planning, as much as the party, if YOU allow them to help.
